Omer Salik

I was born, in Istanbul, Turkey, graduated from university there, then worked as a copywriter in ad agencies, loved it and was doing well. One day I was called from the army: they said come and I went for a full year, then came here to NYC. I got some film education, made short films, music films, 16mm silent film and so on.

What’s going on in Manhattan? This is the basis of my show with street interviews in 10 episodes. I launched Newnewyorkphotography.com, and am currently working to bring my people-focused photography, series, documentary and film projects to life.

Falcon from birds, peach from fruits, green from colors, spring from seasons, peace from emotions, philosophy, bare feet walk in the soil, good music, reading, reading more, writing, nature, sociology, planning, researching, swimming, industry, horse from animals, running, history, exercise and of course I love taking pictures.
